Parexel is looking for a Clinical Annotation Specialist to work remotely from any location in the US.

Job Purpose
The Clinical Annotation Specialist is responsible for AI Labs’ clinical annotation services. They will collaborate with other clinical annotation specialists, project managers, data science, and engineering to leverage the NLP and machine learnings platform to analyze customer data and develop models that address clinical or business use cases.

Key Accountabilities:
Accountability Supporting Activities
  • Software Quality Assurance (QA) Testing and Validation • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop, manage, and execute software test and validation plans
  • Work with product and engineering teams to ensure all requirements and test cases are validated and executed
  • Clinical Annotation • Lead project annotation efforts, including end-to-end process of developing the annotation scheme, annotating data, comparing annotator agreement, reconciling inconsistencies, building the initial models, and iterating onwards
  • Build internal frameworks, annotation schemes, and processes to improve annotation processes, machine learning and NLP models to allow for rapid prototyping and new product delivery
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to identify and advance industry state-of-the-art NLP and annotation techniques and implement best practices
  • Review and improve the annotations of other clinical annotators to enhance quality
  • Product and Customer Satisfaction • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and test features to satisfy customer requirements
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to maintain quality work and anticipate problems


Job Qualifications :

Skills:
  • Ability to read and analyze narrative, literature and other forms of language health data
  • Skilled at reading and analyzing written information related to clinical concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
  • Ability to work remotely and effectively collaborate with a distributed team AI colleagues.
  • Lead annotation design, review and provide clinical leadership to team and cross-function
  • Proficient computer skills related to team communication and word processing tools


Knowledge and Experience:
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic or other provider setting
  • 1+ years of clinical annotation and project management experience
  • Experience using a data annotation tool to develop schemes and efficiently annotate specialized health language data


Education:
  • Educated to degree level in clinical health field, such as nursing or medicine with active license
