SUMMARY: IT Logistics Specialist sets up corporate laptops, mobile phones, other IT devices and communicates technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. The IT Logistics Specialist is responsible for shipping and tracking of IT equipment. This role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Hardware & Software
  • Load Operating systems to Worldwide laptops using SCCM and other alternative tools
  • Maintain an accurate register of hardware and software assets both in stock and in use by Worldwide employees
  • Ensure that all equipment is correctly identified and tagged
  • Stay up-to-date with hardware and software changes that could impact the systems and their operation by Worldwide employees
  • Ship IT equipment to remote users and track shipments
  • Troubleshoot computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
  • Ensure that there is always available stock of equipment and accessories for users that can be deployed quickly for new employees or as replacement for faulty equipment
  • Support, examine, and repair computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
  • Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
  • Create users and in Active Directory

Helpdesk
  • Follow up processes and procedures setup within the IT Support Department
  • Answer the helpdesk emails received from users
  • Help Worldwide employees set-up their equipment and troubleshoot any issues
  • Follow up on incidents and user requests and closure within SLA timeframes
  • Complete form processing/data entry in a timely and accurate manner
  • Document all requests, incidents & problems into the helpdesk system
  • Keep informed about new developments and best practices within the Helpdesk industry
  • Aim to follow up ITIL or similar standards setup by the Support Team

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Experience with setup, diagnostic and troubleshooting of laptops, workstations, printers, scanners, copiers, etc
  • Ghosting & synchronization software an advantage
  • Microsoft operating systems (MS Office 365) and other software applications such antivirus, remote support tools, Adobe, etc
  • Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have good listening skills and ability to empathize
  • Good grammar and writing skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure and efficiently multitask
  • Must have sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Able to succeed and contribute to a team environment
  • Punctual, attentive and diligent
  • Ability to walk between multiple floors in hospital-like environment
  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs/20kg

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent command of written/oral English (technical)
  • 1 to 3+ years technical experience including extensive customer service experience
  • Excellent analytical and consultative/customer service
