An exciting new hybrid opportunity has arisen to lead the pre- launch and commercialization of current in line and expanding pre-launch labels within the GI/GU CIT space in the UK. This role will span across both medical and commercial to meet the needs of the ever increasing number of indications within GI/GU. To be successful in this role, you will be highly entrepreneurial and independent. You will be a proven cross functional leader with exceptional communication and people skills. An agile mindset will be critical to navigating, influencing and leveraging internal Roche resources effectively to ensure we meet the needs of patients.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be accountable for the UK GI/GU in line and pre- launch strategies and business success
  • Have a broad scope of responsibilities across all business functions
  • Oversee GI/GU strategy, Annual Business Plan (ABP) and implementation of tactics for GI/GU
  • Be responsible for overall P+L for GI/GU
  • Report to IFL for CIT
  • Have direct line management of all medical, sales and marketing reports working within the GI/GU unit
  • Require matrix leadership of functional partners

Key accountabilities for the role include:
  • Leadership and delivery of UK integrated (cross functional) strategic plan
  • Ensuring strategy is customer insight driven & co-created
  • Representation of UK business into global via GI/GU iSquads
  • Enabling best in class customer experience through effective utilization of organisational resources
  • Ensuring team adheres to all industry rules and regulations with oversight of all training and briefing
  • Leading expert scientific advice into planning and development of activities
  • Delivery of a strategic data generation plan.
  • Winning hearts & minds of the GI/GU medical, sales and marketing teams involved to ensure optimal tradeoff between in line & launch indications within GI/GU and across the franchise.¬†
  • Implementation of flexible resource planning framework to optimise team utililisation and implementation of plans
  • Harnessing technology to optimize customer interaction.
  • Inputting to and influencing portfolio level trade off decisions
  • Creating a culture of accountability, high performance and agility across team

Qualifications & Experience
  • Life sciences or business degree
  • Significant line management and leadership experience
  • Extensive pharmaceutical experience across multiple promotional and non- promotional business functions preferred but not essential
  • Development and implementation of clinical trials, including data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience of leading activities supporting pre- and post-marketing authorisation of drugs/indications
  • Launch excellence experience preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of NHS systems and processes
  • Experience working within GI/GU space preferred

The role is Head office-based role with national and some international travel required
