Summary of the Position :

We are seeking an IT SAP SD Business Analyst II/III to support the Trade & Distribution organization and Order-to-Cash within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). The SAP SD Business Analyst II/III is an important customer facing role for the delivery of SAP based solutions. Join a global team and help us leverage SAP to meet Novavax’ rapidly growing business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • Serve as the IT Business Analyst supporting the Trade and Distribution organization to ensure delivery of Novavax products for commercial use, also working closely with Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Support SAP solutions in Sales Distribution module, including understanding of relationship with FICO and Materials Management.
  • Support other solutions in the ERP eco-system as needed
  • Define and draft system scope and objectives and translate these business requirements into design specifications ensuring that requirements are effectively met, tested, and implemented
  • Effectively transition designs, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and on developing test cases and test scripts to ensure requirements are met
  • Identify and resolve gaps between new and existing business processes and applications and facilitate implementation of new business processes and modifications
  • Performs application configuration, testing, and functional support as needed based on SOPs approved by the SAP Experts network/community
  • Work Collaboratively with:
    • Business SMEs to identify, verify and document functional and technical requirements using requirements management methodology and tools
    • Business Relationship Managers to develop relationships with the business, and act as their point of contact for application development
    • Architecture function to ensure appropriate translation of business requirements into technical design
    • Process owners to facilitate implementation of new business processes and modifications
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May require periodic weekend/evening work
  • Primarily located in Gaithersburg, MD, but remote work possible 1-2 days per week
  • Travel to other sites may be required

Minimum requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification level, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, relevant science degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with SAP is required, experience with SAP S/4 HANA is preferred
  • SAP functional knowledge in Sales Distribution module is required
  • Knowledge in other SAP functional areas desirable
  • Experience in Life Sciences strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance or Computer System Validation (CSV) preferred
  • Strong influencing, networking, and team working skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service, problem solving, troubleshooting, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT good practices desirable
