Hybrid working- With the ability to attend our Bracknell office at least once a week.

An excellent opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of the financial management, reporting and compliance for our growing company which supports the life sciences industry with digital solutions and a specialist jobs portal.

Reporting into the CFO/COO you will have responsibility for all the financial requirements of the group and be supported by a Finance Manager.

What's involved?

Financial Management and Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the group of companies, including managing Debtors, Creditors and Payroll, along with regulatory and tax compliance issues
• Treasury requirements and cashflow reporting
• Prepare monthly Management accounts and board pack
• Oversee relationships with local accountants and legal advisors, as well as overseas advisors for subsidiaries

Year End Accounting Requirements

• Prepare annual Statutory Accounts at both a consolidated and company level
• Manage the Year End audit process and preparation of tax computations and returns
• Ensure the groups transfer pricing policy is accurately recorded

Budgeting/Forecasting & Analysis

• Own and update the group forecast model
• Prepare annual budget packs for each geography (and legal entities)
• Ensure Team Leads are operating in line with agreed budgets
• Maintain and improve analysis over key business areas, including utilisation and project margins. This will involve working closely with the Project Management Team.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure operational requirements with Client contracts are being met
• Support and involvement in ensuring the accuracy of employee contracts
• Maintain company records and compliance with applicable regulatory bodies
• Manage annual insurance renewal process and ongoing requirements

People/Resource Management

• Manage direct reports and ensure team have clearly defined responsibilities
• Ensure effective communication between finance and other business areas to ensure accuracy of reporting

• Home based with a weekly requirement to attend our office in Bracknell.

All about you

• Professional qualification - ACA ACCA, CIMA (Potentially qualified by experience)
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Sound working knowledge of year-end accounting requirements tax (Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE & NI)
• Prior experience in a senior level Finance role
• Previous supervisory and line management experience
• Positive Team player with strong people skills

Desirable

• Prior experience in a fast-growing SME
• Previous group accounting experience
• Previous international accounting and tax experience
• Digital/Pharma or similar industry experience
