Senior Product Designer
Your role

To lead and be responsible for facilitating, generating and executing great user experiences for our clients and their end users.

We're looking for a seasoned and proven problem-solver, with tons of experience in digital product design to add to the team, to help us deliver the best user experiences in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a client facing role, so we are looking for a person who is happy and comfortable to present to clients at all levels and be the ambassador of design standards and growing UX knowledge.

We are looking for an experienced designer who will:
  • Translate new initiatives into user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
  • Strategize and design new products and features for a range of devices & interfaces
  • Lead the UX and user research strategy, methodologies and executions in projects
  • Conduct their own user research to i dentify design problems and devise simple, elegant solutions
  • Provide thought leadership on design based research findings to influence others
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate their designs.
  • Be competent and comfortable in facilitating UX workshops
  • Help run design sprints and work in an evolving environment
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Actively listen, understand, ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
  • Be an advocate for quality UX/UI standards

Collaborative working is key - you will be working with the wider business teams to understand user problems & opportunities, the Accounts Management & Development teams to scope and deliver change. Beneficial to be comfortable switching between the user and technical conversations with developers. Experience of agile working will be beneficial as we work together to evolve our delivery model. Although this is a technical lead position with no direct reports you will be expected to support and mentor more junior team members.

Your expertise
  • Strong experience designing user-centred products, ideally for mobile and desktop
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind your design concepts
  • Attention-to-detail in everything you do, from storytelling and clarity of communication through to detailed wireframes, artefacts and high resolution deliverables
  • Must be data driven, customer focused, proactive, creative and innovative
  • Expertise in standard UX/UI software. We currently use Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Invision. Wider software knowledge is most welcomed.
  • Extensive experience in using UX/UI design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Experience planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and an understanding of accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including - effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions.
  • Experience in designing with design systems/ pattern libraries
  • Experience in designing for pharmaceutical / healthcare or similar regulated industry is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a demonstrable role
