Are you experienced in managing P&L depratmental budgets and management of revenues in conjunction with finance?



Do you have strong leadership skills, paired with the ability to managem a team remotely?

As the Archives Manager you will provide aGxPcompliant, revenue generating archive service forArchivefacilities and effectively manage the strategic operation of Archivesat Covance.



This is a real opportunity to manage and further develop efficient, effective and harmonised systems within the UK Archive facility.



Job Responsibilities of the Archives Manager:



Operational
  • Forecast and controldepartmentalbudget
  • Day-to-day operational organisation (staff, resource & facilities).
  • Monitoring and reporting on revenue generation progress.
  • Responding to Inspector/Sponsor/QA audit findings.
  • Actioning corrective/remedial actions in response tocomplianceissues.Overseeing development and training of Deputy Archivists' / Business Support Co-ordinator & HERMES Development and Training Manager.
  • Holding \u2018Grant of Authority' for budgetary expenses up agreedcompanylimits..
  • Ensuring Archive SOPs are current and reviewed/re-issued on time.
  • Assessingworkof others (for Training Records System).
  • Conducting team briefing cascades.



Management
  • Plan, monitor and report departmental revenue generation progress and forecasts
  • Manage archivestaffon two sites.
  • Production of data/metrics to supportoverallmanagement of the Archive.
  • Ensuring that appropriate individuals are nominated and trained to fulfil specified roles for compliance with company Health and Safety policies.
  • Managing Archives costs in line withbudget
  • Conducting staff appraisals/reviews - ensuring performed according to company timelines.
  • Approving staff leave Conducting \u2018Return to Work' interviews



Strategic
  • Tactical/strategic planning of resource allocation.
  • Production, development & implementation of the Archive tactical plan.
  • Liaising with otherstaff on projects of shared interest.
  • Identification of additional revenue lines.
  • Development of new systems.
  • Review and enhancement of existing systems
  • Planning and resource allocation - tactical/strategic planning.
  • Identify key trends/themes that may impact on future Archives operations
  • Use industry and market knowledge to support the business
  • Actions corrective/remedial actions in response to compliance issues
Education/Qualifications:
  • Degree level qualification in Business studies orequivalentdemonstrable experience of working within aGxParchives
Experience:
  • Strong leadership skills, able to manage a teamremotely
  • Develop and implementagreed strategies to supportGxPcompliant Archive Facility
  • Prepare and Present reports and recommendations
  • Able to set and drive your expectations of your team
  • Able to supportand motivatea diverse team of people
  • Confident to deliver monthly report data during management meetings
  • Strong communication skills- both written and oral
  • Able to articulate complex/technical issuesto suit the audience
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise your workloadin areactive environment
