Engineering Director

Hobson Prior are looking for an Engineering Director to join a leading global biopharmaceutical company that has been inventing for life for more than a century. You will join them on a permanent basis in Cramlington.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the provision of engineering and automation support.
• Operations equipment maintenance.
• Site master planning, capital planning and depreciation management.
• Accountable for the operation and maintenance of site systems, facilities and utilities through outsourced service providers.
• Equipment and system qualification/system lifecycle management.
• Reliability engineering and computerised maintenance management system ownership and operation.
• Provision and oversight of site maintenance systems, tools and techniques.
• Energy management.
• FM supplier performance management against SLA's using tier process and scorecards.
• Wind turbine array operation and maintenance.
• Accountable for the provision of engineering design and construction services through the outsourced service provider.

Key Skills:

• Highly developed people management and leadership skills.

Requirements:

• Educated to Degree Level in engineering discipline (Chartered status desirable).
• Competent financial management skills to create and manage both capital and expense budgets.
• Substantial experience in the management and implementation of capital projects.
• Wide experience of compliance, SDLC, maintenance, automated systems/equipment and facilities engineering in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Wide experience of solid dose manufacturing and packaging processes.
