The Position

Accountable for proactive oversight and management of local department resources, you will plan and forecast activities in resource management tools. You will ensure the resource assignment process is transparent and meets local and global needs; collaborating with study teams and partners to ensure robust and accurate resourcing data. You will be responsible for the accurate reflection of resources in the functional budget, and that local planning meets the required global process.

You will promote continuous improvement and maintain consistency, contributing to the development of optimised standards, supporting study level resourcing plans and associated reporting. Delivering resource capacity reports and scenario analyses, you will collaborate with the financial department to implement an accurate cross-charging model for budget management. You will also deliver training interventions to align the planning and resource allocation process.

You are someone with a university degree (or equivalent) in finance, business analytics or a science related field. Your experience in clinical research/development will be complimented by your ability to build relationships and influence the acceptance of ideas through persuasion strategies. Your strong communication and excellent team skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with internal and external team members to ensure optimal resource management processes, tools and practices are embedded and highly effective.  You are excellent at navigating complexity and evolving resourcing processes to simplify wherever possible. 

Your ability to inspire, build trust and influence allows you to create highly effective relationships, both internal and external to Roche, ensuring that you are able to act as the single point of contact for resource management issues. It is critical that you are a creative thinker, able to think outside the box to enable creative resourcing solutions to be considered. You are able to facilitate and lead both internal and external staff in productive discussions, acting as an impartial party where needed to ensure effective and efficient delivery with our resources.

You will have a demonstrated computer literacy, including usage of MS Office software, web-based systems and databases.

You may be required to travel domestically and internationally, if required.
