We are currently recruitingnew talents to join our Project Management teamand seeking to hire a Global Study Manager/Project Manager based in our Mechelen offices, or remotely in Belgium for a permanent contract opportunity.
About the Job
As a key member of the Project Management department, you will be managing a portfolio of global, high complexity clinical studies. As such, your main responsibilities will entail:
- Being the key contact between the clients, the various departments within our Central Laboratory organization, other Covance business units and external vendors (e.g. CRO)
- Providing project management oversight for your portfolio of studies, focusing on key client deliverables through budget, risk, and milestone management
- Ensuring successful interactions between the clients and the extended Covance study management team you are collaborating with (e.g. Study Design Lead and Regional Study Coordinators)
- Being accountable for the implementation, monitoring and reporting of performance metrics
- Reviewing the study protocol and related Covance Statement of Work to ensure quality implementation and successful delivery of client specifics and requirements
- Ensuring that all customer expectations are documented and acted upon in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Working with appropriate internal and external personnel to understand the culture and pipeline of assigned clients
- Participating actively to Covance CLS development through continuous process improvement, quality and productivity

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will hold a University degree in Life Science is required, a PhD an asset.
You will also need to demonstrate robust related industry experience (education can be substituted for work experience). Project management experience in clinical trials is a strong asset.
