Brief Description:

Performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in such areas as employee records, benefits, education/training, employment, compensation, payroll and equal employment opportunity. Maintains both manual and automated personnel records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential statistics and prepares reports. In accordance with procedures, furnishes information to authorized persons and/or agencies. Provides information to all levels of employees regarding human resources policies and procedures.

Specific job duties:

• Source of information for employees regarding HR policies and procedures. Answer general questions from employee. Coordinates the administrative process of exiting employees. Understand the HR team's mission and yearly goals and maintains focus on work that supports the mission and goals.

• Assists with all phases of the HR process. Assist with mail correspondence, copying, and filing of paperwork. Assist in the distribution of memorandums and departmental correspondence.

• Maintains manual and automated employee files to establish standards; collects and compiles data/statistics to prepare assigned standard reports. In accordance with policies and procedures, serve as the resource to both internal and external sources for information.

• Basic knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations related to employment

• Special projects as assigned

• Assists with Recruiting process that includes but not limited to background checks and drug testing

• Assist with paperwork process for workers compensation

Supervisory Responsibility:


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 0-2 years experience in an administrative or customer service role ( preferably with HR )

• Above average PC skills- specifically MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint.

• Strong customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize work independently in a high volume, fast paced work environment.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
