To strengthen our Genomics software team in Leuven, Belgium, we are looking for Full-Stack Java Developers to develop the next generation of cloud-based medical genetics software, helping to improve the quality of life and fight cancer.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop cloud-deployed web applications for human genetic analysis and interpretation
- Interact with the product design team to give input and feedback on designs and specifications
- Contribute to a cloud-based CI/CD build and testing framework
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Maintain technical documentation
- Work with our support team to track down the root cause of customer issues
Qualifications:
Profile
- A university degree related to software development (or equivalent by experience)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Java software development
- An eye for design, performance, and overall user experience
- Experience in building modern web applications using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Awareness of web security and secure coding practices
- Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS) is a plus
