Job Details
Illingworth Research Group is a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) providing a wide range of clinical development services to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology and medical device industries. We are experts in the management of Phase I to IV clinical trials across many different therapeutic areas. Illingworth Research Group differentiates itself from other CROs as it offers two niche services as well as our standard CRO services, namely research nurses for clinical trial visits at home and medical photography.
We are a family run and owned business with an exceptionally dedicated team. The company is structured to deliver what sponsors tell us they need: strategic insight, high calibre people, flexibility, quality, and highly motivated, high performing teams.
Illingworth Research are currently looking for an experienced Vendor Manager. The position is full time, permanent, and can be office or home based.
The primary focus of the Vendor Manager role is to manage a pool of vendors and suppliers providing services to Clients on behalf of Illingworth. This includes identifying suitable vendors, both proactively and in response to a project need, negotiating cost and contractual terms and working with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure consistently high-quality service delivery.
You will have at least 3 years experience working in a CRO organisation, or ideally in a contracts, proposals, vendor manager or project management role or previous pharmaceutical outsourcing experience.
You will have a thorough understanding of the relationship between Sponsors, Illingworth and vendors in relation to contracting and finance. Excellent negotiating and mediating skills.
You will be fluent in English, written and spoken.
You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM software and Power Point. Experience of using SharePoint and online communication tools such as Skype preferred.
You will have the ability to work effectively in a team of remote-based colleagues across different time zones.
In return we offer:
· A Competitive salary
· 25 days holiday pro-rated (increasing in service)
· Workplace pension scheme
· Flexible working
· Excellent training and career progression
You must be resident in the UK and have the right to work within the UK
