Senior Brand Manager / Brand Lead – Flagship POM product

Flexible location – ideally North West (1/2 days WFH)


You will be working with a Global Pharmaceutical company and a long-standing client of ours in their North West based Head Office. You will lead the strategic and tactical planning process for our clients’ flagship brand, ensuring alignment with local health economy and corporate vision as well as provide effective leadership and coordination of cross-functional brand team via matrix management. Additionally, you will manage two direct reports, supporting their development and helping the marketing team grow.

Salary: In-line with the market - call to discuss further

Location: Ideally North West. Office (Manchester) and home working.

The Senior Brand Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the strategic brand planning process ensuring alignment with Corporate Marketing
  • Full budget responsibility for UK&I promotional investment
  • Effective line management and development of the specific marketing brand team including Brand Manager and Associate Brand Manager
  • Successful implementation of national and/or regional tactical plans for specific products aligned to opportunities within the local health economy
  • Monitor and critically review the implementation of tactical plans for assigned products against KPIs
  • Creation and delivery of patient support programmes
  • Develop and support KOL development initiatives within the therapy area

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in business or marketing
  • Experience of leading brand planning process in a Pharma marketing role
  • Experience of directly managing others and leading teams successfully via matrix management
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Principles 
  • Knowledgeable on NHS structure
  • ABPI qualified
  • Preferably respiratory or COPD experience, however, this is not an essential requirement
  • Experience of “Veeva”
