Account Director, Healthcare Public Relations

I am working with an award-winning PR agency that is recognised around the globe for their work. I am supporting this agency during a very exciting time of new business wins and internal promotions, to grow their PR side of the business. Because of this, I am looking for an experienced PR Account Director who can lead the delivery of account strategy and to ensure that each programme is implemented to an outstanding standard.

My client has a global presence and provides an integrated public relations solution to consumer, pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide. They have a genuinely lovely culture where everyone supports each other, has fun and works hard. It is not a sweatshop and you are encouraged to have a fair work/life balance. Often partaking in pancake days, snow days and charity events – this is a super lovely agency that has a great reputation within the industry.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interact with clients in a valuable and effective way
• Act as a strategic leader
• Demonstrate expertise in working with the news media
• Ability to think critically about industry trends and competitive environment; identify and advance opportunities to client
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of client budgets and budget tracking, billability and how a client service business works
• Demonstrate the ability to manage teams to successful, timely completion of specific projects
• As a manager role model, set tone and expectations for account team (management, motivation, evaluation)
• Retaining and growing present accounts

To be successful in this role you must have 4+ years’ experience in either an agency setting or from a pharma background. You should have a solid PR understanding and line management experience. In an ideal world, you will have worked on multiple projects simultaneously, be an innovative professional and a great team leader.

On offer:

£50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience / level.
