Head of CMO Operations responsible for Europe, Asia and US

Looking to change roles now that you have recharged your batteries over summer?

The focus of this role is to manage and develop a worldwide portfolio of CMOs to ensure product quality and timeous release to market.

You will have overall external supply responsibility, to ensure timeous delivery of clinical and commercial products, resolution of operational issues, alignment of production planning and follow-up.

You will be the primary point of contact between the company and CMOs, facilitating the strategic development of these relationship and ensuring key business objectives are met.

The role would entail

• Adjusting production to unanticipated demand or supply issues
• Evaluating CMO opportunities from fractionation to packaging
• Managing contracts and negotiations, solving potential disagreements and contract breaches
• Assuring processes and interfaces are functional and efficient
• Identifying CMO activity related risks that may impact on supply delivery dates/ program milestones.
• Facilitating resolution of manufacturing, analytical, supply chain or quality issues 
• Establish, track, monitor, and report performance metrics related to operations, quality, cost and customer service
• Supporting implementation of Agile and Digital initiatives at suppliers/CMO’s

You will need to have:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Business or scientific field
• Minimum of 7 years relevant clinical/commercial Pharmaceutical experience
• Able to negotiate and manage contracts
• Experienced in risk management processes
• Previous leadership experience with matrix cross-functional and global teams experience.
• Strong networking, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate within a senior leadership team.
