How would you like to be involved in bringing a product to market with the potential to impact millions of patients every year?

The Retina Franchise is looking for highly energised, passionate people to join the Novartis Ophthalmology sales team working on territory covering South Yorkshire, South Wales, West Midlands and South West England.

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leadership and line management responsibility for the Team Members including Patient Access Managers and Key Account Managers.
• Working with aligned head office teams (Market Access, Marketing & Medical) and field stakeholders including Scientific Operations Team Leaders, to ensure shared learning and application of appropriate technical expertise in support of the business plan.
• Development and implementation of a cross-functional Business Plan, aligned to the national Business Franchise plan and informed by Local Health Economy plans and priorities, which delivers overall financial objectives including full consideration of sales, market access and service development activities, allocation of people and financial resource.
• Ensure positive access environment including ensuring appropriate action plans exist and are implemented to deliver access in line with HTA and policy guidance including shaping formulary approval and local guidelines.
• To recruit, on-board, engage, motivate, develop and coach the cross-functional team to realise their maximum performance and potential.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Related pharma field-sales experience.
• Previous experience in leading a cross functional field team.
• Experience in market access & pharma launch.

Desirable requirements:

• Educated to Degree Level ideally in Business, Science or Marketing.
• Experience in Ophthalmology.
