Contract Statistical Director

A global biopharmaceutical company is advertising a vacancy for a Statistical Director -Homebased position for their UK office. The organisation focuses on developing treatments in the fields of oncology, cardiovascular & metabolic disease (CVMD) and respiratory fields, as well as actively participating in the fields of autoimmunity, neuroscience, and infection. Job Responsibilities:

• Leading the strategic, statistical thinking and contributions to the Development Plans, Regulatory Strategy, Health Technology Assessment and Commercial Presentation of company products.
• Providing leadership to statistical staff on the product world-wide so that all work is carried out with regards to company standards and external regulations.
• Developing design options and providing high quality decision support to enable the business to make informed decisions.
• Quantifying the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging product profile.
• Setting the standards (and enforcing compliance) for statistical work within the product.
• Holding CRO/Partners accountable for the high-quality standards of their deliverables.
• Representing the company and Statistics to Health Authorities and Reimbursement/Payer Organizations for specific projects/indications.
• Promoting, investigating, developing, and implementing novel statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration.
• Developing relationships with international opinion leaders, consultants, and collaborative groups.
• Mentoring/coaching and supporting the education and training of Statistics staff in the technical arena.
• Providing expert Leadership role able to lead and direct project work.
• Accountable for the statistical work on the product world-wide.

Skills and Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics (containing a substantial statistical component) with experience in pharma/healthcare or other relevant area.
• Leadership Capabilities @ Level 3.
• In depth knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role.
• Extensive experience of Development, programme design, and data analysis, and interpretation.
• Experience of major regulatory interactions and/or submissions.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.

• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
