Paris… the City of Love, Architecture and food. – RESEARCH VACANCY

Three Reasons why you should relocate ..

1. LUNCH EXPENSES

Did you know that on average workers in the UK spend OVER £2500 a YEAR on their lunch? That’s over £2500 DEDUCTED of your overall yearly salary.

Paris are well renowned for their exceptional Cuisine and this is not just available in their elegant restaurants. I can imagine your used to the standard sandwich and a bag of crisps whilst having to eat in the uncomfortable setting of your office desk. However, the majority of french companies offer high quality cuisine in staff canteens.

Well this option is subsidized. You can have the luxury of a three-course meal which could only set you back by a maximum of €5. On top of this if you are not presented with a cafeteria option then you can be getting restaurant vouchers that can be worth €10 a day.

2. TRANSPORT

Did you know that on average workers spend up to £5000 a YEAR on a annual pass in the UK? That is £5000 taken away once again from your yearly salary.

Often it is found that there is a constant increase in travel fares and the delays are a regular occurrence. So much so that commuters prefer to work from home so they can avoid the commute/increased train fares.

Paris’ Metro is the easiest, least expensive and quickest way to travel the city. Working late? Drinks after work? No problem, the metro runs pretty much ALL night so you don’t have to worry about the last train.

Majority of companies in Paris pay for half of your transport costs. Making your journey that little bit more pleasant, knowing that you don’t have a chunk of your paycheck being withdrawn from your account every month.

3. WEEKLY HOURS

Did you know that on average in the UK you have to work 48 hrs per week?

Those who live further and have a long commute on top of the contracted hours, have found it extremely time consuming.

In Paris, Legally it is a 35-HOUR WEEK. If not applied, certain companies make up for the fact that you may work a 40-hour working week and they do this by giving you more days off. In terms of hours, working in France is also great for those who enjoy a lie-in in the morning. You can use the time as you please before going into work at 1O.30am and still be in before your boss.

So the statistics show and the city speaks for itself – but what will your next move be?
