Senior Project Manager

An international pharmaceutical recruitment company is advertising a vacancy for a Senior Project Manager. The company is one of the industry's most well-known brands and specialises in R&D in 3 major areas: respiratory, oncology and inflammation. Based in Cambridge, this vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company and bring commercial experience and skill to the role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong working relationships between a broad range of parties.
• Manage project timelines, identify and resolve any issues which impact on project progress.
• Prioritise and effectively handle multiple projects at different stages of the drug development process.
• Oversee and manage project budgets.
• Develop project strategy in collaboration with the PPM function and/or the asset team.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Executive Director of Project & Portfolio Management to ensure the smooth running of Projects.
• Take responsibility for personal learning and development in order to reach and maintain the required level of skills, knowledge and experience to perform the role.
• Mentoring other members of the team when required.

Skills and Requirements:

• A graduate in a science field or equivalent experience.
• A scientific background with a high degree of business acumen and the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple projects at different stages of the drug development process
• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with an in-depth knowledge of the drug development process.
• Ability to apply best practice project management tools strategically.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
