Job Details

On behalf of our client, a global pharmaceutical company, we are currently recruiting for a Deputy Head Promotional Compliance. This person will be responsible for promotional compliance activities aswell as managing a team of 2 people.

Objective:
To manage promotional compliance activities function in line with company code of marketing, group policies and local regulation
Use systems for internal controls that adequately measure and manage the risks associated with promotional compliance activities
Responsibilities
•    Manage promotional compliance audits performed across different affiliate territories as per pre-defined schedule
•    Provide clinical and scientific input into the development of medical and promotional materials
•    Ensure affiliate business units adheres to regulatory standards and in-house policies associated with promotional activities.
•    Making sure that compliance on internal procedures, policies, codes, systems and controls are up-to-date and effective.
•    Educating and persuading business unit to adhere to company compliance standards.
•    Ensure compliance reviews are performed on time and reports are released as per pre-defined departmental KPI’s
•    Provide input in supporting commercial and legal team in resolving difficult regulatory and medical compliance issues.
•    Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk in affiliate territories and suggest effective corrective and preventative actions in addressing such risks
•    Identify areas of the business where there is a risk of non-compliance and update or develop policies to reduce that risk.
•    Completes the medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards (Codes and policies)
•    Develop and maintain working relationships with commercial colleagues and with key stakeholders in company  to enhance cross-functional teamwork and success.
•    Proactively represent company at events and meetings, where necessary
•    Develop expertise and scientific evaluation of assigned therapeutic areas to all local medical approvers
•    Educate and develop awareness on company policies and code of marketing practice 
•    Maintain bank of regulatory intelligence database overseeing commercial activities 
•    Generate departmental compliance report in a timely manner
•    Maintain risk register across all affiliate territory and report any critical risk to senior management
•    Provide medical support to the Medical information Team and other members of the medical department and other departments to support the activities of those areas
 

Requirements:
•    Post Graduate degree in science, pharmacy or medicine
•    Experience in Medicine Affairs and compliance monitoring would be an added advantage
•    Good understanding about regulatory and legal environment
•    Good knowledge in audit process
•    Experience in working with voluntary codes such as EFPIA, ABPI, IPHA etc.
•    Experience in working with Veeva Promo mats or equivalent
•    Excellent written skills
•    Proficient in English and any additional language is consider as an advantage
