Lead Editor – CRO (Communications Team)

I am currently recruiting for a leading Contract Research Organisation with a solid, 45 people strong, medical and patient communications team in-house. A huge, successful company with over 60,000 people and experts worldwide, they focus on delivering more effective healthcare delivery in a unique way to provide better patient outcomes across the globe. In the comms team, you can expect to work with digital experts, creatives, writers, event managers, scientific editors and project managers. They work with Pharma, med-tech, biotech, plus NGOs and Governments. They have recently worked with Africa to reduced mortality rates for mothers and babies during labour which saved many lives and is something they are very proud of.

Lead Editor 

As the lead editor, you are the guardian of quality control. You do not necessarily have to have a scientific background; however, you would need experience in a healthcare agency and a good understanding of the ABPI. As the lead editor, you should be confident in knowing when to challenge things, whilst ensuring you are a team player with strong attention to detail.

You will be editing everything – this could be a mix between materials, business development and internal work. You will help with planning and resource management and you should be fully equipped to manage your own workload.
