Medical Scientific Liaison - Respiratory - North East, Scotland and Northern Ireland

Our client is a privately-owned Company which allows them the freedom to decide which research they invest in. They have a strong code of ethics and conduct and have a commitment to ethical and social responsibility. They have medicines within Neonatal, Transplantation, Respiratory, and have an exciting speciality pipeline.

We have a new exciting opportunity as a Medical Scientific Liaison working within the disease area of Respiratory. The MSL will be required to provide field-based non-promotional medical and scientific support for the UK business, with the aim of providing high quality, accurate and timely scientific advice to healthcare professionals regarding the company's products and associated disease area(s). They would also need to contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic planning for the UK by providing medical insight and applying expert knowledge about the product and/or disease area.

The ideal incumbent would be an experienced MSL as this role requires a blend of strong scientific/clinical expertise and a high level of communication skill. In addition, it is essential that successful candidates are self-starters with a high level of motivation, whilst possessing the ability to work both independently or as part of a team as the situation demands. Thorough knowledge of the allocated therapeutic and disease area(s) is essential as is a comprehensive knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice to ensure that all activities undertaken are conducted in a non-promotional manner.

A working knowledge of the pharma industry and a thorough understanding of the wider NHS environment is highly desirable. Successful candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will be dealing with a variety of internal and external customers on a daily basis.
