Job Details

Hobson Prior are seeking a Global Medical Director to join a global pharmaceutical company who focus on helping millions of patients by creating pioneering medicines and diagnostics tests. This position will be on a contract basis, located in Basel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the evidence generation strategy planning and execution.
  • In charge of the joint planning and execution of the Medical Strategy for the assigned products / indications.
  • Leads the strategy of the integrated evidence generation activities.
  • Assesses the needs and coordinates compassionate use of the assigned products.
  • Responsible for evidence generation activities for the assigned products/ Indications, including risk benefit assessment and medical monitoring in all medical affair’s interventional studies.
  • In partnership with Global Access and appropriate Affiliates stakeholders you will identify the evidence generation needs/gaps in order to obtain and maintain patient access and integrates them into the evidence generation strategy.
  • Delivers medical expertise and input into the market access, brand and life-cycle strategies and plans.
  • Develops, advances and upholds TAE interactions and collaborations, incl. those aimed to set up and conduct evidence generation activities.

Key Skills:

  • Organization, prioritization and planning skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor with Medical Affairs experience in Oncology.
  • Solid tumor experience, preferably in breast cancer.
  • Business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice to successfully support the cross-functional team.
  • Experience in Evidence Generation within or outside the pharmaceutical industry, including trial design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials.
  • Understanding of business context, access and regulatory environment and trends.
  • Excellent track record of successful interactions with therapeutic area experts and investigators globally.
  • Experienced educator/ presenter.
  • Experience with launch of drugs/indications is a plus.
