Job Description

The role is for Medical Director in London working within Neurology/ Epilepsy. The company has just had breakthrough medicine approved and will now begin the process of marketing this product across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of the products medical affairs strategy across the EU/RoW as appropriate. 
• Ensure close alignment with US Medical Affairs and International Commercial/Marketing and Market Access.
• Oversee the management and execution of a comprehensive suite of medical activities in international markets.
• Provide medical leadership for Product Life Cycle Management development.
• Provide medical insight and guidance on product marketing programs.
• Lead the development and execution of Advisory Boards.
• Ensure that staff and vendors are adequately prepared.
• Support development of RoW / EU Market Access & HEOR strategies

Qualifications

• • Medical Qualification (MD) with extensive experience in Medical Affairs
  • Prior industry experience in Neurology/Epilepsy
  • Experience working at European/International levels
  • Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialisation processes with advanced understanding of other functions including Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance and Market Access.
  • A solid understanding of statistical analyses
  • Orphan Drug experience
  • Deep working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and substantial experience as an ABPI signatory
  • Good understanding of finance/budgeting and resource management
