Here at Syneos Health we are currently recruiting for an Investigator Management Solutions Specialist for our Investigator Management Solutions (IMS) team, to be based in our EMEA headquarters in Farnborough.

The role of the Investigator Management Solutions Specialist (IMS Specialist) is to support the payment process for Investigators and Institutions participating in clinical trials. The IMS Specialist works with internal teams to ensure appropriate funding prior to a payment being administered, and keeps internal and external team members updated on site payment statuses and issues.

This is a role in which strong team working, collaboration and problem solving skills will be key to success, alongside a keen eye for detail and an ability to organise and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

A brief summary of duties your role will involve:

  • Processing investigator payments using various CTMS tools such as IMPACT, Medidata, and Clinpay etc.
  • Collaboration with various internal teams including project management, accounts payable and site contract teams as well as counterparts in other regions to ensure timely and accurate payments are facilitated according to process.
  • Reviewing and interrogating Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and CTA amendments to ensure payments are made according to the documented payment terms and schedule, with discrepancies actioned or escalated as appropriate.
  • Ensuring proper account and project coding are applied to third party invoices as they relate to investigator payments.
  • Creating, maintaining, and reconciling MS Excel Project Grant Tracker as necessary.
  • Collaboration with various internal teams including project management, accounts payable and site contract teams as well as counterparts in other regions to ensure timely and accurate payments are facilitated according to process.
  • Working with project teams to support grants payment process and system navigation, as needed.
  • Researching and compiling necessary information as required in support of sponsor invoicing, and creating project reports as requested from sponsors or internal teams to support reporting requirements and analysis.
  • Reviewing data with project manager for quality and completeness
  • Assisting Investigator Payments Manager with Audits of site payments and sponsor deposits.

 Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
 

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills/experience:

  • Degree educated or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook, with a strong proficiency in using Excel.
  • Some experience with using a database system (eg. Oracle).
  • Foreign language proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Above average attention to detail, and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
