HTA / Health Economics Advisor

BRAND NEW POSITION HEALTH ECONOMIST POSITION within a highly reputable Pharmaceutical organization based in the London Area. The focus of the successful candidate will be to Prepare and review the health economics tools, models, reports related to cost-effectiveness, cost and outcomes research for pre- and post - launch products, for submission to Health Technology Assessment bodies.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing health economic models, user interfaces and support materials for use in submissions to market access organizations and by sales teams with cost-sensitive NHS customers
• Oversee the development of submissions to NICE, Scottish Medicines Consortium, All Wales Medicines Strategy Group and other health technology assessment groups, including the development of the economic evaluations for these submissions.
• Develop value messages and materials (including budget impact models) to support business activities and maximise access for new and launched products

Essential Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in health economics or equivalent (particularly if first degree is not in economics)
• Previous experience as a health economist either within academia or another similar consultancy.
• Knowledge of all technical aspects of health economic evaluation, including methods of cost effectiveness analysis and assessment of patient quality of life and functional status would be important, as well as the ability to apply health economics principles to practical issues
