Job Details

Hobson Prior are looking for a Medical Science Liaison to be field based that will cover the South East of England. This position will provide non-promotional medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent as the field scientific/medical Specialty Care & Immunology expert, delivering medical education, updates and gathering insights and data from UK HCPs.
  • Recognise, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts and other medical scientific stakeholders.
  • Share relevant insights within medical and cross-functional teams as appropriate, including use of dashboard tools.
  • Support responses to medical information questions from HCPs and ORDMs.
  • Support and deliver medical training of commercial and patient access field teams.
  • Propose, implement and monitor the regional medical action plan which includes phase 3 or 4 studies and post authorization studies in coordination with the Associate Medical Director.
  • Supports the assessment and delivery of clinical trials and medical projects, including medical grants and investigator sponsored studies.
  • Represent the organisation at relevant local, regional and global congresses and symposia, interacting with appropriate stakeholders/customers.
  • Ensures timely, accurate documentation of interactions, and compliance and safety reporting in accordance with local policies.
  • Ensure ongoing completion of all required initial and ongoing training in local regulations, Codes of Practice and policies, and adherence to those regulations and policies.
  • Shares early identification of potential issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Input into allocated office led medical affairs programs (above therapy area).
  • Input into allocated head office led medical programs ahead of launch.

Requirements:

  • University Degree level education in medical-science, pharmacy or other, related and relevant discipline.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in the UK pharmaceutical industry.
  • Prior experience in both pre-launch and launch activities.
  • A facility and ease in communicating in a scientific environment and with specialised audiences.
  • Knowledge of the NHS, NICE and other healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment.
  • Fluenct in English.
