Medical Affairs Manager - Midlands

Our client is a small sized internationally established Pharmaceutical company that focuses on the development, in-licensing and marketing of prescription products for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.

They have been recently established in the UK and with product line extensions and new diagnostic product launches will see their sales and growth continue to rapidly expand.

A new opportunity exists for a Medical Affairs Manager to join their growing team.

The Role;
-To provide the Company with leadership in Medical Affairs;
-Ensure that all Medical Affairs activities are compliant with the PMCP code of practice and UK Law;
-To input to the leadership team;
-To maximise commercial returns through Medical Affairs programmes and activities;
-Line manage 2 Scientific Liaison Managers;
-Provide Medical Information services;
-Generation of scientific publications / literature;
-Advanced product Notification;
-Non-promotional services and support commercial campaign;
-Work within budgetary confines.

Skills and Knowledge;

-Qualified Pharmacist (ideally);
-Experienced as a Medical Affairs Manager or in Medical Science Liaison role;
-Familiar with medicines for the GI tract (ideally);
-Conversant with PMCPA / APBI code of practice;
-Conversant with good practice guidelines for clinical trials;
-Expert knowledge of scientific services requirements of PMCPA code of practice;
-Conversant with principles of health economics and health technology appraisal processes;
-Excellent written communication skills;
-Numerate;
-First class presentation skills;
Strong interpersonal skills / team worker.

Approximately 50% of your time would be in their East Midlands Head Office, with c. 50% being field based.

A Highly Competitive Basic Salary and Benefits package will be paid.
