Business Development Executive

I am working on collaboration with an award winning, global, clinical research organisation who provide phase I-IV services to pharma and biotech companies. They aim to leverage the development of effective medical therapeutics through science and a disciplined operating approach.

My client is seeking an executive business developer to join their growing business development division. You will be responsible for driving new sales whilst working closely with internal teams and contributing to the growth of the organisation by offering high levels of customer support to existing clients.


  • Actively prospect and generate new sales and business opportunities within assigned customer territory;
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with customers and develop in depth knowledge of their organization and needs;
  • Achieve sale targets for assigned customers;
  • Collaborate with internal staff regarding the development and procurement of proposals;
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with customers through focused client visits and presentations;
  • Support marketing initiatives when necessary (e.g., tradeshow, symposia attendance);
  • Maintain contacts with appropriate sales activity data
  • Perform general strategic and tactical account planning, management, and execution.


  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience selling within a CRO;
  • Must be reliable, highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, customer-focused, and possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • An established network of contacts within the industry (preferred);
  • Fluent German and English language.

This position is homebased in Germany
