Senior Medicinal Chemist

We are partnered with a rapidly expanding pharmaceutical company who have integrated an AI-driven cheminformatics algorithms to deliver clinical candidate molecules using a minimum number of design cycles and compounds. With a phenomenal investment into their company they are now looking to expand this area and develop projects at a rapid rate. This company will break the trend of development of medicines for lengthy periods of time, and have the long term vision of becoming the best and most efficient global drug discovery company.

Requirements

• PhD in Medicinal Chemistry
• 5-10 years experience in medicinal chemistry
• Worked on multiple disease areas and many different projects
• Human elements important must have emotional intelligence
• Delivered drug candidates
• Must understand computational design and how it might work

Responsibilities

• It’s essential that you have worked with computational chemist designers (CCD) because this role is heavily directed by CCD. SMC must trust and support CCD as they provide crucial service
• Will have supervised candidates
• Worked closely with pharma partners
• Hold your own in drug discovery pharma
• Willing to get along and be front of house not just in labs
• Will be active on projects / lead from the front
• Active drug hunter
• Review projects and deliver = many projects per person
• Interactions with collaborators - Important part of it
• CRO Manager contractors
