Job Title: Senior Biostatistician

Location: United Kingdom

This role will be responsible for performing statistical analyses of clinical studies and for providing statistical expertise when assessing study objectives, study design, randomization, methods of analysis, endpoints and statistical power.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provides statistical input for protocol writing
  • Coordinates, prepares and performs set-up, testing/validation, documentation and filing of randomization deliverables
  • Develops a detailed statistical analysis plan
  • Performs complete statistical analysis of a clinical study in order to make it compliant with the statistical analysis plan and protocol
  • Organises and performs a quality control review of the tables, listings, figures, inferential analysis and statistical text to ensure compliance with the protocol and SAP
  • Prepares and files of all datasets, computer programs and other material used in the preparation of the tables, listings, figures, statistical analyses and statistical text for the integrated study report
  • Writes statistical reports and/or statistical sections for the integrated study report and reviewing the draft integrated study report
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the quality system for biostatistics guaranteeing the best quality services of the department
  • Coaches and mentors junior Statisticians (JSTA), the statisticians (STA) and SAS programmers (SPR) and provides training


Education and Experience
  • University degree in relevant discipline
  • At least six years of experience as a statistician in life science/pharmaceutical environment have knowledge of and experience with statistical software, preferably SAS.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in SAS software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Expert knowledge of the applicable regulatory guidance
  • Fluent in English and local language(s)
