PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

 

 

The position is responsible for directing and controlling the activities of the statistical department / division, through directors and/or managers with overall responsibility for the direction of those assigned areas.

 

 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

* Direct and coordinate department activities. * Effectively coordinate with company counterparts to ensure consistency in operations. * Recruit, interview, hire, and on-board candidates. * Provide support and training to team and department. * Direct the development and dissemination of department standard operating procedures and guidelines. * Meeting established financial goals. * Prepare forecasting and planning activities for department. * Provide regular status reports to senior leadership. * Interact with other departments to ensure a high level of client satisfaction through successful execution of projects. * Ensure fulfillment of the contractual obligations with clients. * Actively support business development activities, including presentations of capabilities and research proposals to prospective clients.

 

 

 

SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

* Supervise, coach, and mentor staff * Oversee development of direct reports by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, evaluating and monitoring training needs, creating development plans, mentoring, and coaching * Set priorities and schedule activities of departmental resources, implement company objectives, and create alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges

 

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 

 

 

* Graduate Degree in Statistics or related discipline

 

 

 

MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

 

 

* Thirteen years relevant industry statistical experience, with increasing levels of responsibility * Demonstrated leadership ability * Five years supervisory or project management experience * Proven ability to effectively recruit and develop staff * Proven ability to prioritize projects and manage resources * Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade * Ability to travel as necessary (approximately _10%)
