Job Title: Market Access and Reimbursement Manager

Location: United Kingdom

Schedule: Full time

The Market Access and Reimbursement Manager will be at the forefront of market development and product launch, working with thought-leaders, implanting surgeons and clinicians supporting clinical activities and helping to build sales revenue.

Responsibilities:

Head all clinical activities to gather clinical data and market feedback on new medical device in addiction medicine. Establish Healthcare reimbursement, explore market and market strategy for new product and identify sites for potential inclusion in clinical trials. Represent company as clinical and technical specialist in Europe, onsite training to KOL and partnership management, provide on-site training, education and support in surgery to partner sites, Clinical Trial management, Clinical Marketing, support sales.

Key Objectives:
  • Foster peer relationships with scientific partners and strategic collaborations through research, education, and advisory boards
  • Work closely with colleagues in clinical operations, business development, marketing, reimbursement, and sales, as well as medical societies and advocacy groups to increase awareness and education of implantable drug delivery device products to physicians/OR Surgeons and patients
  • Identify investigator-initiated studies, educational grant requests, and sites involved with pipeline
  • Develop and implement scientific and medical education tools, presentations, and resources for deployment in field
  • Conduct literature search and analysis for evidence-based marketing
  • Provide medical science expertise to cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, clinical operations, sales training, reimbursement and managed markets)
  • Lead new technology implementation for scientific affairs team
  • Serve as expert consultant on reimbursement distribution and increase potential for reimbursement
  • Educate hospitals (OR staff), pharmacists, clinics, physician offices, patient advocacy, payer levels (managed markets) on the usage of implants
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining
  • Develop an addiction medicine database and referral network; including identifying hospitals and institutions, clinics, treatment programs, physicians, nurses, counselors, and patient outreach programs


Reimbursement:
  • Establish and implement short and long-range goals and objectives to grow market share of implant;
  • Commanded a technical and consultative approach through experience with complex reimbursement/payer reimbursement processes
  • Responsible for scientific content of reimbursement dossiers and support for price setting agencies
  • Help hospitals consult on cost reduction through negotiating new contracts, current contracts for enhanced value as well as educating members on utilization of implants


Education and Training:
  • Support the development and implementation of face-to-face training
  • Focus on education and implementation of medication used in multi-level treatment settings.
  • Provide a peer to peer scientific/clinical relationship with key thought leaders in health care, academia and within managed care organizations as a field-based clinical resource to health care professionals
  • Collaborated with clinicians to identify and teach best clinical practices, provide information regarding potential research opportunities, and provide technical or clinical information as requested by physicians utilizing products and services
  • Opening doors for our sales partners through in-office medical education, patient identification, and reimbursement assistance/patient access
  • Represent externally with governments, regulators and third parties by engaging and establishing relationship with authorities


Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree preferred: Nursing, Medicine, or Pharmacy
  • 5+ years implantable medical device/clinical support
  • Fluent in cross-functional communication with Compliance, Legal
  • Highly skilled in communication/coaching of team that interacts with the specialties of Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Addictionolgists, Pain Management and many more.
  • Experience of developing and leading public policy campaigns is an advantage
