Location: Home based anywhere in Netherlands
Business development/key account manager role selling professional services portfolio to customers mainly in pharma industry.
Our client is seeking a talented Key Account Manager to join its growing organization to identify, develop and close new business across the BeNeLux and in Europe for assigned Key Accounts.
Main responsibilities
- Understand and promote all offerings within the Laboratory Services portfolio and their associated benefits as well as the respective profitability potential of each opportunity
- Own the sales process from start to finish and develop and execute strategic business plans
- Acquire new customers for business through prospection activities.
- Lead and organize all communications with potential new customers;
- Delivery of presentations and proposals to potential customers
- Manage pipelining via salesforce.com to track, and report on all sales activities
- Educate internal teams on contractual terms during implementation stage and ensure implementation success, through sales process planning and transition, of new account relationships during early implementation phases
- Perform sales administration activities as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Sales/Marketing/Engineering
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a client facing sales role, ideally within a Procurement and Laboratory environment
- Consistent track record of exceeding quota in a sales role with the ability to navigate complex enterprise politics, finances and personalities
- Experience using Salesforce.com is preferred, excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong influencing skills, fluency in English and Dutch
- Ability to travel between 40 to 60% throughout the BeNeLux with punctual travel outside of the assigned territory, ideal location is Netherlands or Belgium
