Agilent, Church Stretton is responsible for the manufacture of consumable products to support both liquid chromatography separations and diagnostic markets. The role requires a leader of multiple production groups to take accountability of the production process from goods inwards and inspection through production to dispatch. Working within a large scale Chemical manufacturing environment with a complex mix of both repetitive and bespoke manufacture.
Responsibilities includes but not limited
Provide leadership and mentoring to ensure a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing group. Using Lean and Six Sigma tools, applying them to day to day activities, strategic projects and global goals.
You will also have the opportunity to develop strategies and multi-year implementation plans for new technology introductions and continuous improvement.

Leading a culture that understands and appreciates the importance of on time delivery, quality and safety.

Apply risk based thinking and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) whilst making operational decisions within a fast-paced production environment.

Ensures the effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality products. Actively identifying constraints and deploying mitigation plans.

Participate and support Project Managers/Supervisors on projects with the goal of delivering strategic improvements linked to business objectives.

Data interrogation, analysis and reporting of KPI's. Providing data backed opinions to senior management to support decision making and strategy planning. Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial in achieving this requirement.

Recruit employees; assign, mentor, and evaluate their performance; overseeing their development in alignment to business objectives.
Requirements

Educated to at least university degree level in a relevant subject

Eager to put your experience and management ability to work in a dynamic and progressive environment.

Relevant experience in management position- Manufacturing/Chemistry environment is an advantage

Strong people skills, technical knowledge and influential leadership ability will really make an impact.
