A leading international biotechnology firm is seeking to recruit a Global Medical Director, Established Products to their team in Germany. The organisation applies innovative technologies and revolutionary assays to the analysis of genetic variation and function, allowing for the realisation of personalised medicine. Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing high-value, long-term profitable customer accounts through relationship building sales techniques.
  • Identifying and managing high-calibre genetic analysis sales opportunities through professional screening processes and the use of all available information resources.
  • Developing comprehensive knowledge of prospects including personnel and responsibilities, budgeting, internal politics, products and services, competition and market.
  • Preparing compelling customer sales presentations, participating in all sales activities, and assisting with general customer demonstrations, training, and support.
  • Negotiating all genetic analysis sales in territory and generating associated sales contracts and quotations.
  • Maintaining profit margins through effective sales negotiations.
  • Coordinating and communicating sales activities and strategies effectively to supervisors.
  • Developing and maintaining all account/contact details within the company's CRM database.
  • Utilize all account/contact details to effectively monitor and direct customer purchasing activities.
  • Leveraging CRM system to grow sales from existing customer base and expanding customer base in assigned territory.
  • Providing regular and accurate sales forecast updates.

Skills and Requirements:

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Life Sciences, Ph. D a plus.
  • Significant experience in clinical sales, Life Science sales or a related area.
  • Strong technical background in molecular biology or genomics is required.
  • Well-developed professional and strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels on the customer organization.
  • Additionally, ability to take qualified leads and turn them into closed deals.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
