Manager Product Development Risk Prevention

We are partnered with a world leading medical devices company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who will be able to manage projects in textile medical device products used in surgery from start to finish.   Your area of responsibility:

• Provide competitive product solutions that fulfill all relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as customer needs
• Management of product development projects
• Identification of product requirements in close cooperation with marketing/sales to fulfill customer needs
• Develop and implement product solutions to meet the identified customer needs
• Generate basis for IP on own product solutions
• Safeguard FTO
• Close cooperation with other departments e. g. marketing, production, purchasing, SCM, regulatory affairs, suppliers, patents and licensing
• Support market tests
• Idea generation for new products, technologies, value analysis
• Secure product compliance for all products in area of responsibility in regard to all relevant rules and guidelines (internal/external)
• Competitor product analysis

  What we look for:

• Bachelor or master degree in natural science or the like
• At least 2+ years of work experience as product development manager (in the medical devices industry)
• Acquirements of all relevant regulatory requirements for medical devices
• Knowledge of the products/materials and production technologies in own area of responsibility
• Experience with the product application at the customer side and ability to transfer this into product features
• Proven track in product development techniques / design process / test design
• Knowledge of the patent literature and basic knowledge of patent law
• Process knowledge
• Experience with QM and project management tools
• Communication and negotiation skills
