Senior Medical Writer - Remote/home based.

My client is a reputable healthcare agency with a 25-year heritage, with specialist teams across many offices worldwide. Due to organic business growth, they are opening up some new opportunities due to recent business wins and growing accounts. You could be based in an office in the UK, part-home based or fully remote. You will be working on well-known pharma accounts, some old and some new – with the opportunity to work on several different accounts and therapy areas.

The role:

As the Medical Writer, you will provide insights and scientific evaluation about company products to key stakeholders and, through cross-functional team working, you should ensure that business goals are met within the deadline and to the highest possible standard. You will also be the key scientific point of contact for clients on their accounts. You will need the right blend of skills to produce high-quality communications, and the ability to liaise directly and effectively with clients and clinical experts.

Desirable skills required:

• Experience within a pharma/medical communications agency writing role
• Solid grounding in science
• Thorough understanding of the pharma drug development and approval process
• Experience of producing articles for publication in print and online according to agreed style
• Conducting interviews for scientists, doctors and academics
• Establishing a network of industry experts
• Reading and researching specialist media and literature
• Publications experience would be ideal
• Proven experience in providing evidence-based scientific direction to account teams, clients and other stakeholders; this should be in relation to brand strategy and in a code and compliant manner
