SERVICE MANAGER
Hampshire
50/50% split between the office and on the road

Our client is a market leader in Cleanroom Systems and products used in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. We are looking for an experienced Service manager with a minimum of 3 years experience managing a large team of approx. 30 engineers. You will have a background in air technology, mechanical or electrical engineering to be considered.

SCHEDULER SUPPORT:
a) To carry out a morning review with the Scheduler of engineering dispositions on all mornings, remotely when out of the office.
b) To assist the Scheduler in:
i. Matching engineer to job
ii. Maximising engineering efficiency
iii. Assessing time on site for jobs
iv. Optimising engineer availability
c) Together with the Managing Director signing off on "foc" returns to site.
d) In conjunction with the Scheduler to ensure that all mid term contract reviews take place to ensure performance takes place as quoted and where necessary to take remedial action.

PAPERWORK PROCUREMENT: To take primary responsibility for the prompt delivery of all relevant site paperwork for the prompt invoicing of all site work:
a) Where the Scheduler is unable to procure prompt presentation of engineer paperwork, to rectify the same using, where necessary, the Company disciplinary process
b) To deliver the company "month end" procedure to ensure that all jobs are invoiced, closed off, and jobs that roll over have an apportioned month end invoice on the basis of work delivered.

DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE:
a) As part of the Sales and Operations delivery team, to participate in the development of 2Serve or such other scheduling software programme as may be used from time to time to improve operational efficiency.
b) To participate in the development of internal spreadsheets which act as control documents and generators of KPI's.

4) PART PROCUREMENT SUPPORT:
a) To assist the Parts Procurer to deal with wrong part supply or inadequate part description by field engineer.
b) To supervise order and stock levels of engineering consumables.

TENDER & PRE CONTRACT VISITS:
a) To assist the Head of Sales in the preparation of tenders and large quotations
b) To carry out pre contract visits as required with Head of Sales and/or Scheduler.
c) To assist the Scheduler in the agreement of a programme of work for large contracts with the customer
d) To monitor delivery of outputs agreed in scheduling large jobs against job budgets and to take corrective action where necessary

APPRAISALS:
a) To carry out annual appraisals of all engineers and to recommend personal development plans.
b) To carry out periodic on site assessments of engineers as part of the appraisal process.

RECRUITMENT:
a) To form part of the interview panel for all new engineering staff.
b) Where necessary to carry out or organise working interviews to determine candidate suitability for employment.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:
a) To carry out first line customer satisfaction investigation.
b) To work with the Scheduler to resolve all complaints and where necessary to escalate to the Managing Director.
c) To ensure that no complaint remains resolved outside of time parameters specified in the ISO9001 manual.
d) To carry out such other QA/QC actions as may be agreed.
e) Where requested, to carry out key account site visits with the Head of Sales

COMMERCIAL:
a) To identify all opportunities to increase customer quotable value and to work with the Head of Sales to deliver the same and to pass on all leads of commercial interest to the Head of Sales
