Director / Senior Director of Clinical Sciences - Netherlands

We have an exciting opportunity available as a Director of Clinical Sciences at a clinical-stage Gene Therapy Biotechnology company. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical developer to progress into a senior strategic position reporting into the Chief Medical Officer and working closely with the Clinical Development Vice President.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the scientific content on all aspects of clinical trial design and preparation including analysis of the data generated
• Direct report will be the CMO
• Lead and contribute to the creation of clinical trial protocols, clinical study reports, publications, presentations, coordination of advisory boards, contribution to regulatory findings etc.
• Review clinical data
• Work closely with the VP of Clinical Development as an interface between Clinical Development and other cross functional areas
• Act as key contact for external expert relationships and Key opinion leaders
• Monitor activities relating to the clinical development program including key program milestones

Requirements

• Experience in clinical trial design and preparation
• 5+ years relevant clinical experience in Pharma or Biotech
• Experience with writing protocols, deciding on clinical endpoints, criteria etc.
• Life science education (PHD, MD, MPharm, MSc or similar)
• Ophthalmology experience would be beneficial but not required
