Job purpose:
The purpose of the Business Leader is to create and lead a high-performing cross-functional team in order to ensure delivery of agreed business and patient access outcomes within a defined geography (East Midlands, Anglia and Yorkshire). The therapy area is Cardio-Metabolic.

Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and line management responsibility for the Team Members including Patient Access Managers and Key Account Managers.
* Working with aligned head office teams (Market Access, Marketing & Medical) and field stakeholders including Scientific Operations Team Leaders, to ensure shared learning and application of appropriate technical expertise in support of the business plan.
* Development and implementation of a cross-functional business plan.
* Ensure positive access environment including ensuring appropriate action plans exist and are implemented to deliver access in line with HTA and policy guidance including shaping formulary approval and local guidelines.

Your suitability for the role will be defined by your previous experience from within a line management role from within the UK Pharmaceutical industry.

You must have also worked within a head office function (marketing etc) and have the ability to work cross functionally.

Strategically and operationally strong, you will have detailed understanding of the broader complexities of today's NHS and the drive to achieve outstanding results.

You will be able to demonstrate that you have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team mobilizing internal and external resources to develop business.
