Head of Quality and QP

The Company

A global pharmaceutical company working in a huge array of therapy areas with the focus of reducing patient costs and ensuring high quality, low-cost pharmaceutical products that far outweigh what the competitor companies can offer.

The Role

As the company’s Head of Quality, you will be responsible for managing multiple business departments and working closely with the QC and QA Managers (as well as others) to ensure the companies QMS is as effective as possible and the company has solid QA strategies in place for progression.  Part of this includes internalising the roles of QP, RP, QPPV etc so that they are all in house.  

The role will include:

• Overarching responsibility for Quality Assurance
• Overarching responsibility for Quality Control
• Overarching responsibility for Pharmacovigilance
• Over arching responsibility for Regulatory Affairs
• Running frequent departmental meetings to ensure all are in compliance with the Quality and Regulatory policies of the company
• Help (where necessary) with QMS management and strategy, batch release, company audits etc.

Requirements (Must have…)

• A EU QP certificate for batch release
• Management experience (demonstratable) within QA or RA
• The ability to conduct audits and take ownership of departments with minimal management support
• Ideally an MSc or Bsc in related scientific field

Requirements (Would be an advantage, but not compulsory…)

• Experience in Generic Pharmaceutical Companies (International)
• Experience releasing solid dose batches at a senior level
• Experience hosting MHRA Audits.

Salary & Benefits

• £90,000.00 - £100,000.00 per year annual salary depending on experience.
