Accounts Supervisor

On behalf of my client, a Dublin based pharmaceutical manufacturing company, I am recruiting for an Accounts Supervisor. This a permanent role offering an attractive remuneration package including pension and health insurance. 

In this role you will supervise a small Finance Team and you will responsible for the following:

•    Processing journal transactions on ERP system in a timely manner. Processing of manual payments and nominal charges and direct debits and posting of same on system.
•    Monthly bank reconciliation.
•    Bank transactions including provision of information for cash flows.
•    Preparation of Management Accounts 
•    Finance Area backup on nominals, payables & receivables
•    Actual and/or standard cost calculations using COG’S review, overhead recovery and variance analysis.
•    Assisting in the preparation and reporting of company KPI’s
•    Inventory analysis and reporting.
•    Maintenance of the fixed assets register.
•    Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
•    Assist with year-end Financial Audit and liaison with external auditors.
•    Assist with preparation of annual budgets.
•    Completion of statistical returns, VIES / INTRASTAT and other statistical returns as required.
•    Assist in the preparation & review of Finance/Administration Department SOP’s.
•    Supervision of the Finance Team
•    Other duties as defined from time to time by the Plant Director, Managing Director or HR / Admin Head.

• Previous experience of supervising a team is required.
• Considerable experience in a manufacturing environment with a solid knowledge in standard costs etc. is essential.
• Qualified Accountant preferred but part-qualified , nearing completion,  will also be considered. ACA, ACCA , CIMA
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desired but not essential.
