Our client is one of the market leaders in medical communications. As a specialist in medical education, they provide peer-reviewed independent and accredited continuing medical education (IME and CME) to pharmaceutical clients worldwide. They design and implement international workshops and symposia, and e-learning programmes for healthcare professionals across a wide range of therapy areas. With offices around the world, they are currently looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join their team in London or Cheshire.
This is a great opportunity to join a leading medical communications agency in a medical writing capacity. Working within an editorial team of about 15, you will have line management responsibilities, as well as the chance to work on some work on ground-breaking products for industry leading clients in oncology and other area.

- Design, develop, and edit medical communications materials such as publication manuscripts, slide kits, monographs, newsletters, meeting reports, posters, and more Devise interview questions and interview key opinion leaders Assist with development of concepts for editorial projects Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding content, design and style for assigned editorial projects Determine deadlines and budgeted editorial hours for each project undertaken Attend conferences, scientific symposia, and advisory boards, and participate in on-site activities Support project teams, contribute ideas, and share experiences. Play an active role in establishing a cohesive and dynamic relationship with internal and external stakeholders Assist in creative development and writing detailed proposals for new business
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A life sciences degree required, ideally combined with a Master’s degree or PhD Previous medical writing experience gained within a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment General computer literacy Proficiency in online medical resource searching (Pub Med, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good creative thinking and problem solving skills Team player
This varied role will involve writing, editing, and proof-reading medical communications materials as well as to working with design and production teams to produce a range of printed and digital materials that meet the goals of their pharma clients.
