Clinical Research Physician

Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Clinical Research Physician to join a world leading Clinical network organisation, to be based in the West Midlands, on a permanent basis.
This position will be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of your site through the safe performance of your local clinical studies and will demonstrate leadership abilities through your guidance and training of colleagues whilst working on several studies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Representing as principal investigator or co-investigator ensuring ICH/GCP and local regulations are met.
• Leading clinical trials in line with the protocol and to ensure the recruitment of eligible participants onto the studies.
• Being responsible for preparing all GMC appraisals to ensure a positive outcome.
• Review screening, pre-screening and screening success rates for clinical trials.
• Supplying information and support to consenting participants for a clinical study.
• Responsible for checking patient inclusion/exclusion to studies.
• Communicating with and developing positive relations with sponsors, clients and clients’ contractors.
• Carrying out clinical evaluation and clinical investigation of participants.
• Continuously seeking and suggesting quality improvements.
• Taking responsibility for making sure serious adverse events are reported correctly.
• Accountability for the medical well-being of participants during the clinical trials and referral to specialists or GP.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrated a great attention to detail in recording patient information and data ensuring any queries are acted upon in an efficient manner.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, sustaining positive relationships with colleagues as well as patients.

Requirements:

• GMC registered doctor with prior experience within clinical research.
• An understanding of GCP (ICH/GCP and local regulations compliance).
• Ability to provide practical help and guidance to colleagues, supplying practical solutions for any problems and supporting their development.
