ProClinical is advertising a vacancy for an Brand Manager position with a leading biotechnology company that specialises in RNAi therapeutics. The organisation uses this innovative form of therapy to treat rare genetic, cardio metabolic, acute hepatic infectious, central nervous system (CNS) and ocular diseases. The Brand Manager will join this company in their office in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated applicant to develop a career in a truly revolutionary field.

The Brand Manager (BM) will report to the Commercial Lead and will interact with the Sales Force (KAMs), Regional Marketing Team, Local Medical Department, CEEMEEA Business Intelligence team, and external distributors and vendors. The position is located at the Spanish affiliate headquarter in Madrid.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the Spanish launch plan based on the global integrated brand strategy and customer insights.
  • Supporting the Medical Lead to prepare Spanish Market.
  • Creating and implementing innovative market development strategies for the Spanish market.
  • Developing Spanish diagnostic strategy.
  • Driving Spanish insights into the product brand vision, positioning, and messaging programs.
  • Adapting and Developing the product's promotional campaign aligned with Global Strategy.
  • Collaborating with patient services Team to build Spanish-focused patient HUB model.
  • Executing the Spanish brand plan in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Supporting Portugal's Commercial Lead.
  • Determining and outlining key performance indicators for prelaunch and launch activities.
  • Executing Spanish-focused HCP engagement and patient finding initiatives in collaboration with medical affairs and patient advocacy.
  • Partnering with Global Business Leaders to implement commercial tactics and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with legal, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders to ensure compliant development and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Leading flawless development and implementation of all Spanish marketing disease and brand tactics and programs (across JOLs, HCPs, and patients).
  • Leveraging best practices from within the global commercial organisation and continually fostering learning from industry best practices.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with local and national key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the disease area.
  • Leading strategies to expand market access to the company products at regional level.
  • Serving as a strategic business partner with field sales leadership to establish priorities in regional work plans for payors and regional authorities.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of regional and local market access issues through payor research, face-to-face meetings, KOL interviews, and attendance at public meetings.
  • Gaining actionable customer insights by working with Market Research team and through customer interaction.
  • Assessing launch effectives, understanding opportunities, improving commercialisation, and developing initiatives to maximise launch potential.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of regional and local market access issues through payor research, face-to-face meetings, KOL interviews, and attendance at public meetings.
  • Gaining actionable customer insights by working with the Market Research team and through customer interaction.
  • Assessing launch effectiveness, understanding opportunities, improving commercialisation, and developing initiatives to maximise launch potential.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (i.e., Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, etc.).
  • Engaging and actively participating in Global Commercial Teams.
  • Managing promotional budgets to remain within agreed spending levels.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of commercial and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with experience in managing or launching a speciality or biotech product.
  • Experience in marketing pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience in establishing or maintaining patient access to pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience in the marketing of orphan drugs is desirable.
  • A track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results.
  • Experience in managing external agencies, vendors, and managing promotional budgets.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
