The Contract Specialist's role is to review, revise and/or create draft contractual documents using PAREXEL or client templates, and negotiate with internal and external clients as required. Ensure compliance and facilitate closure.

Key Accountabilities
- Review, revise and/or prepare draft contract documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders, Service Agreements, CDA's, Master Service Agreements and Amendments, from PAREXEL or client templates in coordination with the assigned Customer Strategist or Line Manager, and in conjunction with relevant departments. May facilitate the negotiation of the above referenced agreement types by preparing, reviewing and negotiating within agreement review guidelines, including coordination with Legal, Finance, Project Management/Operations and Business Development to ensure timely agreements.
- Direct client interaction as required with established contacts per guidance provided by the assigned Customer Strategist or Line Manager
- Provide quality client deliverables within strict deadlines
- Facilitate review and approval in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Customize PAREXEL templates to meet client template requirements, while maintaining PAREXEL requirements.
- Manage and direct business review & signature process, project set up process, and ensure contractual documents are processed into and maintained in relevant databases

Qualifications

Skills
- Experience with contractual terms, with the ability to create, review and revise contractual documents
- Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Confident dealing with internal staff and external clients
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned projects. Deadline-oriented.
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high degree of accuracy and flexibility to schedules.
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams and the ability to gain trust and confidence of internal customers. Values and understands the importance of teamwork.
- Negotiation skills.

Minimum Work Experience
- Relevant business or legal knowledge and experience with contract management, drafting, review and revision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Legal Studies or Life Science.

Language Skills
- Fluent in English, oral and written.
