Covance is currently looking for a Supervisor Clinical Data Monitors and Data Entry, to be based in Leeds. This role is full time, permanent.

Duties :

  • Peer review of work, providing feedback and training as appropriate on an ongoing basis.
  • Managing performance and career development via the PMD process, regular catch-ups and status meetings ensuring that all reportees are aware of their objectives.
  • Ensure attention is paid to interpersonal skills and achievement of competency standards. Review any individual issues with staff proactively and in a timely fashion, work with team members to resolve all issues in a supportive manner creating and maintaining performance plans as appropriate.
  • Provide or organise training to staff on project-specific, local or global processes either in the form of mentoring or as ad hoc training
  • Assist in the recruitment process by reviewing applicants for positions and conducting interviews as appropriate.
  • Induct and train staff for whom he/she is directly responsible
  • Manage administrative requirements for reportees e.g. holiday planning, timesheets and absence records.
  • Be the main point of contact for all data planning, queries and questions. Including but not limited to workbook design, dose escalation, database lock, monitoring visits and establishing client requirements.
  • Responsible for the completion of the shop floor QC of all Clinical Operations data and the production of QC metrics, QC results trending and league tables to drive continuous improvement of clinical data quality.
  • Key tasks include but are not limited to the data entry schedule, QC of the ICSR, and the production and QC of dose escalation data.
  • Liaise with Clinical Research Co-ordinator, Project Manager, Clinical Research Associate and the Bio Metrics Data Manager and team as necessary to ensure that all project timelines are met in relation to data.
  • Responsible for the security of data at the Leeds clinic.
  • Prioritise & schedule the teams work on a weekly basis to ensure that all tasks are covered. Work proactively to ensure that issues are identified, resolved and if required escalated in a timely fashion.
  • Proactive involvement in issue resolution and identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Diploma level, or equivalent in a related field.
  • Typically 2 years supervisory experience
  • Experience of clinical data management practices.
  • Knowledge of clinical database systems preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not essential
