Job Details

This company are currently on a solid growth trajectory and are finding a lot of success in partnering with more specialist Pharma and Biotech clients. They have a good international presence and this role is integral to the continued build-out of the European operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the project to include: staffing, budgets and milestones as defined in the scope of work of the project
  • Primary point of contact with clients.  Team Lead for all Sponsor calls ensuring meeting agendas and meeting minutes are issued within appropriate timelines • Responsible for oversight and training of Clinical Project Assistants
  • Perform routine audits of Trial Master Files for assigned projects
  • Plan, develop processes / systems and utilize relevant SOPs to ensure the operating quality and efficiency of the project
  • Analyze and document project progress and issues. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies
  • Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and feedback from field team
  • Review all reports submitted by CRAs, to ensure completeness and accuracy, prior to submission to Sponsor
  • Supervise team in accordance with company and sponsor policies, procedures and relevant SOPs
  • Assist staff in resolving complex or out of policy operation problems
  • Responsible for meeting department productivity and quality goals
  • Communicate with Vice President, CRO Services, on project operations and escalation of key issues that impede project progress
  • Review and Approve all time, travel and expenses for team (i.e. CRAs), following policy department expenditures
  • Help support sales team and Senior Management with the develop of new business proposal and requests for information
  • Help support sales team at bid defense meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Life Sciences or related field plus minimum of three to five years' of clinical research experience in Project Management, Data Management or Clinical Monitoring
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, CRO, or medical device company required
  • Sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations/guidelines for clinical research, ICH and ISO 9001
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team and drive work through internal support departments
